Social scientist Jackie Leyds has ten years specialist experience in the development of children and youth. Working in this niche, she has been able to apply her extensive empirical and action research of global models, to benchmark our local youth development centres. With focus on youth in conflict with the law she has a proven track record in holistic rehabilitation programmes and full facilities management.
Leyds’ primary study fields included a B.A. Social Science (Social Work) and an Honours Degree in Human Resource Development. Leyds has a Masters Degree in Social Development (Employee Assistance Programmes). Her study evaluated the effects of Black Economic empowerment on employees.
With this extensive experience, she is able to strategically position the youth development centres nationally as facilities where best practice models are implemented.
