Though extremely vital, Full Facilities Management has, historically, been restricted in its application and technology base. After much research, we noted the existing gaps in strategy and knowledge management in this field. The leaders of Bosasa pursued a broader counter strategy to fill this gap and improve on the existing platforms.
They conceived an innovative objective conducive to developing the South African economy, by placing emphasis on local talent.
An approach was pursued in favour of young black talent with entrepreneurial zeal, high potential, creative energy and a natural penchant for business.
Our leaders believed that any world-class Full Facilities Management interventions could be equaled on home ground using black professionals.
Bosasa was born and as a wholly owned South African company ten years later, we now enjoy the prestige of being one of the leading companies in Facilities Management in South Africa, providing services to companies in both the private and public sector.
Changes in international and local public law, which emphasise the equality of women in business, were taken seriously in the board’s strategy.
This resulted in women being given significant posts in which equal decision making and participation at all levels was guaranteed.
In line with our strategy, Bosasa has an extensive national footprint supported by a national shared services centre with 24/7 response and branches in all provinces. These are capable of fulfilling broad spectrum of needs, covering soft, hard and business services.
“I think that our fundamental belief is that for us growth is a way of life and we have to grow at all times.”
