JCT firmly believes that rehabilitated and well-integrated offenders can be successful, economically integrated and productive members of society.
However, many offenders will not be able to find employment. This group will be trained in entrepreneurial skills which are market-trend related. With these tools and JCT’s support, these individuals can develop small but sustainable business entities.
Due to our successful partnerships with international role players, we have adapted the incubator module, which has been very successful in the USA. This module assists would-be entrepreneurs to bring their products and services to the market.
One such successful programme, the Hlumani project at Pollsmoor, has fulfilled a facet of our development strategy, and has focused on the ‘up-skilling’ of woman.
Future funding and the addition of more like-minded partners will only add to this uplifting and socially responsible programme.
