Emmanuel’s Aids Haven is a sanctuary in Motherwell. It was started by Dr Mamisa Chabula, a medical doctor, whose vision it is, to bring quality care to people from Motherwell, living below the breadline. These are people who lack the means to travel to the city health‘s facilities for help. Dr. Chabula broadened the services available to these people in need and Bosasa who realized that only so much can be achieved by one person. With SeaArk in the immediate vicinity and our company policy of never undertaking a business venture without contributing to the local community, generous donations and support was provided by Bosasa. As a result of Bosasa’s assistance, several support facilities could be further developed: a crèche for children who are orphaned, HIV positive and whose parents are HIV positive. The Haven has caregivers, a testing facility for HIV, an anti-retroviral clinic, day centre and an eye clinic.
